Meet Marci Lister

(she/her)
Professional Counselor Intern

Marci approaches therapy with curiosity, compassion, and a strengths-based perspective. She believes people are not broken. Rather, all people develop ways of adapting that deserve understanding before judgment. She views therapy as a collaborative process built on respect and authentic connection.

Marci holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Before becoming a therapist, she worked in special education and in clinical speech-language pathology settings, supporting children, adolescents, families, and adults.

Her work brought her alongside people with many different ways of thinking, learning, and communicating. It reinforced her belief that meaningful growth begins with honoring each person's unique way of experiencing and communicating with the world. She recognizes that many people spend years feeling misunderstood by their families, schools, workplaces, or even by themselves. She believes therapy can offer an opportunity to better understand both ourselves and the relationships that have influenced us, and to build on the strengths we already possess. She hopes clients leave therapy with a greater sense of clarity, self-trust, and possibility.
