Meet Tabitha Ammari

(she/her)
Professional Counselor Intern

Tabitha is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University. She believes therapy is a collaborative process—one where clients feel heard, respected, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward meaningful change.

Her approach is grounded in person-centered and existential therapy, while drawing from an integrative perspective to meet each client’s unique needs. Tabitha recognizes that no two people experience life in the same way, and she does not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to counseling. Instead, she works collaboratively with each client to create a therapeutic process that reflects their goals, values, strengths, and lived experiences.

As a first-generation American, Tabitha has a deep appreciation for the ways culture, family, and identity shape how we understand ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. This perspective informs her commitment to cultural humility and to creating a welcoming and affirming space where clients from all backgrounds feel seen, understood, and valued.

Tabitha considers it a privilege to walk alongside her clients as they develop a deeper understanding of themselves, recognize and build upon their strengths, and move toward a life that feels authentic and meaningful. She brings curiosity, compassion, and genuine respect to the therapeutic relationship, meeting each client where they are while supporting them in discovering where they want to go.
