Alejandra Vera-Oronia Marriage and Family Therapist Intern

Meet Alejandra Vera-Oronia

(she/her)
Marriage and Family Therapist Intern

Alejandra is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern who works with individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life’s expected and unexpected transitions. She offers therapy in English, Spanish, or Spanglish and is passionate about creating a supportive space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to grow. Her clinical training includes couples and family therapy, cultural diversity, trauma, and interpersonal violence.

Alejandra’s approach is grounded in systems and attachment-based therapy, drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help clients better understand their emotions, relationships, and patterns of connection. She believes healing happens within safe, nurturing relationships and values collaboration, empathy, respect, and authenticity in the therapy process. She often incorporates warmth, humor, and gentle challenges to support meaningful change.

Alejandra sees herself as a partner in her clients’ healing rather than an expert, and she feels honored to walk alongside them as they build stronger relationships—with others and with themselves. Outside of therapy, she enjoys spending time with her family, keeping up with her curious toddler, taking peaceful nature walks, reading, and cooking together. Her faith is an important source of strength in her life, and she is open to thoughtfully integrating spirituality into therapy when clients desire.
