Meet Chad DeBruin, CADC-R

(he/him)
Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor

Chad brings a unique blend of operational expertise, team-building instinct, and genuine warmth to his work in substance use recovery. Before entering the counseling field, Chad built a career in medical facility management, serving as Executive Director of Nursing Homes and later as Practice Manager for veterinary clinics. This background gave him a deep understanding of how systems, accountability, and care intersect—skills he now applies to supporting clients through recovery.

A lifelong soccer player, Chad competed through college and went on to coach for several years afterward. That experience shaped the way he shows up for his clients today: encouraging, direct, and invested in helping people push past what they thought were their limits. He knows that real progress comes from consistent effort, honest feedback, and having someone in your corner who believes in you—on the field or in recovery.

Chad holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Cascade College. His transition from healthcare administration to substance use counseling was driven by a desire to work more directly with people navigating some of the most difficult chapters of their lives.

As a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Chad specializes in helping working professionals maintain long-term sobriety while managing the demands of their careers. He also has a particular gift for helping individuals and families recognize the early signs that someone may benefit from Substance Use Disorder treatment—often serving as the first step toward getting help.

Approachable and easygoing, Chad meets clients where they are—bringing the same coach's mix of encouragement and accountability to every session, paired with genuine respect for each person's journey.
