Meet Brittany Houston

(she/her)
Professional Counselor Intern

Brittany is a student intern who is passionate about growing her work as a bilingual therapist and expanding access to mental health care for Spanish-speaking communities. As the first-generation daughter of an immigrant, she brings a deep understanding of how culture, identity, and systemic barriers can shape a person’s experiences and well-being. She is especially committed to supporting individuals within the LatinX community and people from diverse cultural backgrounds who may feel impacted by dominant cultural expectations and systems.

Her clinical interests also include working with survivors and with individuals seeking to better understand and change harmful behavioral patterns. She approaches this work with an emphasis on accountability, self-awareness, and developing healthier ways of relating to others.

Brittany also has experience supporting individuals on the autism spectrum through her background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

In addition, she is passionate about women’s health and the ways these concerns intersect with mental health, particularly when access to information, support, and advocacy is limited. She strives to help clients build clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of autonomy in their daily lives.
